The Trend of Teeth Extraction of the Pentistless Rural Area.

Abstract
|
|
|
The 7,407 extracted permanent teeth was used to establish the following findings. Those teeth were extracted from the population of dentistless rural area. It was performed by the free motile dental service team from 1966 to 1971. The findings were as follows:
1. 45.1% of all extracted teeth was from male and 54.9% was from female population.
2. 52.0% of all extracted teeth was from maxilla and 48.0% was from mandibule. 3. The most incidences were occured on the age from 26 to 40.
4. The sequence of most incidence teeth extraction were first molar, third molar, secend molar, central incisor, lateral incisor, first premolar and cuspid.
5, The main causes of extraction were periodontal disease and dental decay. The trend of teeth extraction was that the periodontal disease was stronger causative factor than dental decay.
